Nestub was developed by Fibrestar Drums, the largest supplier of fibre drums in the UK. For the past 90 years, Fibrestar Drums has been at the forefront of producing economical, high-quality, and versatile packaging drums in various forms, serving diverse sectors both locally and globally.

 

 

Originating in 1932 as the '3 Ply Barrel Co' in Trafford Park, Manchester, Fibrestar Drums began its journey by specializing in plywood kegs, which were the state-of-the-art drums of that era. Today, our headquarters in Hazel Grove, with its sustainable ethos, has provided the ideal environment for the development of our newest and most innovative product, Nestub. This product represents our commitment to addressing the pressing environmental crisis we face.

 

 

Driven by our passion and belief in making a difference, we posed a question to our dedicated R&D team: How can we leverage our skillset and resources to improve the situation, no matter how small? We recognised that while the use of plastics may be necessary in certain cases, there is an opportunity to explore alternatives that can deliver the same results with reduced environmental impact.

 

 

Extensive research and testing ensued as we embarked on a quest to find an alternative to plastic tubs. The result of our efforts is a remarkable paper tub made from virgin kraft paper. Nestub was born as a testament to our commitment to driving positive change.
